VCDS Lite: Not recognizing COM Ports
I've used vcds (windows 10) in the past to scan my car, I picked com-port 4 (usb port 4) and never had an issue. Now when I try to test the com port it crashes vcds. It only crashes when I test com port #4. Does anyone have any ideas on how to remedy this issue? Thanks guys.
Edit: Figured it out, had to switch the com ports in windows and in vcds around a few times to find one that it would recognize. I DUN FIGERED IT OUT.

Help starting a MKIV Golf after replacing cylinder head
So I had a timing belt shred up in my Golf (MKIV 2.0). I replaced the timing belt, tensioners, waterpump, thermostat, and cam position sensor. At the time of failure the car was throwing an immobilizer code as a result of the cam being off (The immobilizer cuts the motor after 1 second). Now that everything is replaced and hooked up, the car seems to be getting tripped by the immobilizer. It starts very strong for that one second, but keeps getting cut off after exactly one second.
I've used VCDS Lite to clear the immobilizer fault code, but did not fix the issue. The code has not yet come back either.
I've fully charged the battery, and also disconnected the battery to hopefully reset the immobilizer module. But I still cannot get the car to run longer than one second. I've also tried leaving the door open and leaving the ignition in the start position for 30 min. Still no luck.
