R510 - Reset setup/BIOS password?
Warning: I am a PowerEdge newbie and I know absolutely zero, hence my undertaking of this. I am finally at my wit's end, after several straight hours of researching Dell.com, homeserver
, and anything else I've been able to find.
I inherited a PowerEdge R510 from work with seven 1TB Dell drives. I hope to learn more about PowerEdge, RAID, and everything else that encompasses operating a PowerEdge server while also setting up a media server, file server and whatever else I can try.
However, I cannot seem to reset the setup/BMC/BIOS (not sure if these are interchangeable) password. I have tried everything I've found online, which includes resetting the NVRAM_CLR jumper as well as the PWRD_EN jumper. I tried holding down the "i" on the front panel for 30 seconds. Nothing has worked. I was able to load SLI onto a USB drive which got me into the server administrator where I then created a virtual disk. I'm not sure what to do, as I said I'm very new but willing to learn.
I appreciate any advice or suggestions.

[Build Help] Keyboard/mouse not working! Can't setup BIOS
This is my first time building a computer. Physically building it was the easier part. But now that it's put together, I can't access BIOS! It just gives me this screen: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tywks4a0g12hxwm/Photo%20May%2014%2C%202%2030%2045%20PM.jpg
I've tried pressing the appropriate F keys everytime to choose what to boot from but it keeps going to this screen, and I can't select anything! It's like the computer doesn't recognize I have keyboard/mouse plugged in. My keyboard/mouse setup is I'm using a keyboard/mouse port to USB splitter (the keyboard/mouse are at least 10 years old but they still work perfectly fine, at least they did on my old computer motherboard). I've tried every USB port but nothing changes. I tried unplugging every bootable device except CD drive to install my motherboard's CD that came with it, nothing has worked so far. Help!!
