Would a factory reset remove any malware/spyware installed in a Macbook?
Recently, I’ve been suspecting that I may have been hacked, I’m not sure if my cursor has gone rogue or that if I accidentally moved it myself, but it has happened a few times. My macbook is fairly slow given that it’s a 2016 edition. Besides that, I’ve seen my bluetooth randomly connect to a device, the bluetooth doesn’t show what device it is connected to, it just says it’s connected to a device. Just moments ago, this happened and as soon as I brought my cursor near the bluetooth icon(the one shown on the top right bar near the wifi icon), it disconnected instantly. Yesterday I had an issue with my browsers(safari and chrome) whenever I tried using any of them, it would tell me “Can’t establish a secure connection” Although my wifi was working perfectly, and my sister was able to use her browsers perfectly despite using the same network. Now, I’m just curious if there is any way to detect spyware/malware via activity monitor or console or using any codes in terminal. And I’m also fairly curious wether or not this malware would be removed 100% via a factory reset.
